OTF Jam Testifies on Alleged Murder Plot Involving Lil Durk

Kacey "OTF Jam" Hester testified Wednesday in court, identifying Durk Banks, DeAndre Wilson, and David Lindsey as participants in an alleged murder-for-hire plot targeting rapper Quando Rondo.

U.S. District Judge Michael W Fitzgerald opened the session with a moment of silence for country music legend Dolly Parton. FBI Special Agent Jarron Farmby resumed testimony, revealing that Jason Smith commonly booked flights for Only the Family (OTF) members, a fact prosecutors emphasize in their case against Banks.

Farmby presented an Instagram post by Dayvon Bennett (King Von), stating, "If Smurk want a [dude] dead then that [dude] dead." Banks' attorney questioned if this meant Banks supported Bennett’s career, to which Farmby affirmed.

Authorities introduced a video titled "Red Man" found on Banks' phone. The video shows Banks appearing to shoot a man dressed like Timothy Leeks (Lul Tim), linked to Bennett’s 2020 killing. The judge clarified the video was entertainment, not real footage.

Text messages from a group chat between Banks, Wilson, and Lindsey were shown, including Banks saying, "He gone tell soon," and "As long as we don’t break they can tell them whatever."

During cross-examination, defense attorney Brian Steel questioned the context of the "Red Man" video, its production, and the lack of interviews with music label representatives. Steel highlighted video footage of Leeks shooting Bennett and asked about Quando Rondo’s role in dragging Bennett’s body.

Farmby stated the shooting was ruled self-defense, as Leeks acted when individuals were in danger. Steel noted Rondo and Bennett were fighting with fists before the shooting.

Steel addressed the emotional impact of Bennett’s death on OTF members, questioning if personal grief influenced their conversations. Farmby acknowledged grief’s effects but denied it was exploited in prosecution narratives.

Text messages discussing obtaining Leeks' address after his release on bond were shown. Farmby had no knowledge of any drive-by shootings at Leeks’ residence. Steel also noted musicians often change phone numbers when leaked and may delete messages as part of their persona or brand.

Farmby concluded his testimony emphasizing his pursuit of truth and justice. Hester, known as OTF Jam, appeared uneasy during his courtroom testimony.
