U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded over $2.56 billion in net inflows across seven consecutive trading sessions ending August 25, 2026, pushing the price of Bitcoin near $80,000 following announced U.S. Treasury liquidity operations.

Data compiled from Farside Investors shows that cash injections into products managed by financial firms like BlackRock, Fidelity, and Morgan Stanley included $652 million in a single week. The surge helped drive Bitcoin's price to a peak of $81,160 on August 24 before settling near $78,300.

Institutional interest concentrated heavily in specific funds during the seven-day run. On August 25 alone, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs added $314.37 million in net capital, with BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust capturing $284.42 million, or roughly 90.5 percent of the day's total.

Concurrently, spot Ether ETFs added $179.80 million in daily net inflows. Total digital asset market valuation hovered near $2.65 trillion amid a broader macro liquidity shift triggered by federal policies.

Analyzing the market shift, Bloomberg Intelligence ETF Analyst Eric Balchunas commented on social media regarding alternative asset flows.

"Gold and Bitcoin ETFs have combined for +$7b in flows in past week, by far a record for a 5-day period as debasement trade steals spotlight from AI," Eric Balchunas, ETF Analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence, said.

The momentum coincided with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announcing plans to double long-end bond buybacks to at least $4 billion per operation. The decision weakened the U.S. dollar, driving investors toward store-of-value assets to hedge against potential currency debasement.

Addressing the underlying catalysts on ETF Prime, research leads weighed in on the crypto market momentum.

"Spot bitcoin ETFs pulled in $2 billion in net inflows last week, while spot ether ETFs added nearly $900 million," Roxanna Islam, head of sector and industry research at VettaFi, said.

Despite the recent influx, overall year-to-date flows for spot Bitcoin ETFs remain down $2.5 billion. Analysts note that market participation has formed a barbell pattern, with major funds like BlackRock's IBIT anchoring one side while newer products like the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin ETF attract alternative flows.

Regulatory sentiment also provided tailwinds after President Donald Trump met with cryptocurrency executives and urged lawmakers to pass the long-awaited Clarity Act. Market participants are now evaluating upcoming U.S. economic data releases, including PCE inflation and GDP estimates, to gauge the sustainability of recent inflows.
