Jamie Foxx Expects Third Child With Girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp

Actor Jamie Foxx and his girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp are expecting their first child together, marking the third child for the 58-year-old Oscar winner. Foxx and his daughter Corinne Foxx confirmed the news during recent press appearances for their game show Beat Shazam.

The news comes as Foxx reflects on expanding his family following a severe medical crisis in April 2023, during which he suffered a brain bleed and stroke that left him unconscious for 20 days. Foxx credited his daughters with aiding his recovery, noting that the experience reshaped his perspective on life.

While initially hesitant about starting over with a newborn at his age, Foxx explained to E! News that a chance encounter with his Any Given Sunday co-star Al Pacino put his mind at ease.

"Being my age, I was a little on the fence, being 58," Jamie Foxx said.

Foxx recalled asking the 86-year-old actor about returning to parenting duties after Pacino welcomed a child in June 2023.

"Ah, Jamie, good to see ya. I was worried about you!" Al Pacino said.

Foxx then shared his humorous follow-up to the veteran actor.

"I said, 'Al, you gonna be back in the drop off line?'" Jamie Foxx said.

The interaction helped relieve Foxx's initial reservations about becoming a father again.

"I said, 'Oh man, shoot, I'm good,'" Jamie Foxx said.

His 32-year-old daughter Corinne Foxx expressed total support for her father expanding the family alongside her 17-year-old sister Anelise.

"I'm going to be a sibling times three now. Times three! Very excited.

I'm very excited for him. He's the best dad in the world. He is going to thrive and excel...

It's going to be amazing," Corinne Foxx said.

Corinne also highlighted her experience working with her father on set over the past eight years, praising his leadership and work ethic.

"I grew up going to set with my dad and watching him work from behind the camera," Corinne Foxx said.

She noted how his lighthearted personality creates a positive environment for the cast and crew.

"But then to be his coworker and the level of professionalism but also, he's so light and so funny," Corinne Foxx said.

Working alongside her father has served as an ongoing learning experience.

"I just feel like I learned that you don't have to be so serious to be great at your job," Corinne Foxx said.

She added that his demeanor sets the overall mood during production.

"You kind of set the tone for everybody on set and he does a great job doing that," Corinne Foxx said.

Foxx expressed similar pride in watching his daughter step into executive leadership roles within his production company.

"She runs my whole company," Jamie Foxx said.

He emphasized his admiration for her executive growth.

"She runs the whole production company. Break the glass ceiling! Next stop: president!" Jamie Foxx said.

Foxx also reflected on the emotional bond they share while working together on television.

"Just to be able to watch my daughter develop," Jamie Foxx said.

He noted how meaningful it has been to observe her professional development.

"Eight years is a growth to watch your daughter or your child grow into something special," Jamie Foxx said.

Foxx emphasized that working with family does not feel like typical labor.

"That's part of your family," Jamie Foxx said.

He summarized the shared journey with a familiar sentiment.

"That's what's great. They say time sure flies when you're having fun," Jamie Foxx said.

Reflecting on his health journey, Foxx shared how meaningful it is to move forward alongside his family.

"A few years back, I went through something horrible," Jamie Foxx said.

He gave full credit to his daughter for guiding him through his recovery process.

"My daughter made sure I got back. And so now, seeing that I have a new life, and I have my daughters embrace it — that's all that matters," Jamie Foxx said.

He framed the new addition to his family as part of his broader recovery and renewed outlook.

"This is part of living—having a new life to live and share with is amazing," Jamie Foxx said.

During an interview with Extra TV, Foxx dropped a potential hint regarding the baby's gender while discussing his love for sports.

"He's gonna play some tennis for sure," Jamie Foxx said.

Corinne detailed how the show celebrated its milestone 100th episode on set with the crew.

"We did on set. They brought out a big cake. It said '100' on it.

We went out to dinner. We cheers-ed our executive producer Jeff Appla, who is the best, who's put this all together, and so, yeah, we've celebrated," Corinne Foxx said.

Foxx noted that seeing everyday contestants win substantial prize money remains the highlight of hosting.

"feels fantastic," Jamie Foxx said.

He pointed out the contrast between their program and traditional game shows.

"When you watch, you see everyday people who happen to know music, and they leave with life-changing money. Some of the game shows that you see, that give away [$5,000], $10,000," Jamie Foxx said.

He explained that the cash prizes frequently change the lives of the participants and their families.

"We give up to a million dollars and everything up before that… [It's] sometimes been [$300,000], $400,000, [$500,000]. It's really incredible to see people not only win the money but what they want to do with the money. 'I'm playing for my mom who needs this. I'm playing for my dad who needs this,' or, 'Playing for my kids to go to college.' So, that's why the show hits as hard as it does, because all of our contestants, who we say thank you to, are always looking out for everybody else," Jamie Foxx said.

When asked who gets more emotional watching contestants win major cash prizes, Foxx admitted he is easily moved.

"Oh, man, I cry," Jamie Foxx said.

Corinne confirmed her father's emotional nature on set.

"He's a big softie. He's a big softie," Corinne Foxx said.

Foxx joked about specific triggers that bring him to tears.

"I cry when I hear the song 'Another One Bites the Dust,'" Jamie Foxx said.

Corinne described how music fills their household, noting her father's constant singing and piano playing.

"He's always playing the piano, always singing. He whistles a lot. And so that's where I would know where he is in the house, because I'd hear him whistling somewhere. Now my sister does it… It was such a blessing for me to be able to just, like, be in his presence and watch his process and hear him sing all the time," Corinne Foxx said.

She mentioned that his musical talents often carry over into their filming schedule.

"And so it's cool on the show. He has an opportunity. There's a piano there. I don't know if they put it on the show, but when we're taping, he's playing the piano and he's singing and doing what he does best," Corinne Foxx said.

Foxx revealed his go-to karaoke track, though he admitted it might be losing its appeal with younger crowds.

"Oh, you know what my song is? It's 'YMCA,' but it's become old now. We used to bring the house down doing 'YMCA'… Them young people be like, 'What the hell is this?' But 'YMCA' used to be the thing," Jamie Foxx said.

Corinne shared her personal favorite among her father's vocal performances.

"I like to hear my dad sing Christmas songs. You sing a great Christmas song," Corinne Foxx said.

Foxx also spoke about congressional passage of the DeOndra Dixon NIH INCLUDE Project Act, named in honor of his late sister who passed away in 2020.

"My sister was the ambassador for Global Down Syndrome. So, we went on Capitol Hill to get a bill passed and it passed… The reason that's important is because nothing gets done in the world without money. So, before my sister became the ambassador of Global Down Syndrome, they would spend less than $10 million for knowledge of what Down syndrome was about. Once she took over, it is going up and up and up, close to almost $200 million now," Jamie Foxx said.

He underscored the long-term impact of the legislation for research funding.

"That bill is going to be very important because it puts Down syndrome on the board to where, you know, when everything is being allocated, you know, they'll be in first position. And she went on the Hill, and she spoke and thank you to all of those people across political lines. They all said, 'Yes, this is important.'

So, God bless you, DeOndra. You did it," Jamie Foxx said.

Foxx reflected on the emotional weight of his sister's legacy and advocacy work.

"Oh, man. It means everything. It's meaning something to her right now.

And for a lot of people that I run into that have seen my sister and what she's done, people come up to me all the time and say, 'Hey, you got a family now.' And so with this bill, it means a lot," Jamie Foxx said.
