Netflix will premiere the sixth and final season of the global hit series "Emily in Paris" on Dec. 24, 2026, sending protagonist Emily Cooper on a Mediterranean journey that includes production locations in Greece, Monaco, and France.

According to viewership data from Netflix, the show's fifth season registered 26.8 million global views in its initial 11 days, claiming the top spot in 24 countries before the streaming service confirmed its upcoming series conclusion.

The narrative picks up after Emily ends her relationship with Italian cashmere heir Marcello Muratori and returns to Paris. Gabriel sends her a postcard proposing a getaway aboard a luxury yacht in Greece, setting up the new season's central tension.

"I think the door’s always open between those two," said Darren Star, creator of the series.

Gabriel had previously flown to Rome in Season 5 to declare his feelings, but he ultimately backed away after witnessing Emily's happiness with Marcello.

"I loved that Gabriel understood her happiness with Marcello and allowed them to have their time together," said Lily Collins, actor playing Emily Cooper.

Show creator Darren Star expanded the itinerary beyond the traditional French setting to deliver a broader European travel experience for the final chapter.

"I wanted the final season to feel like the biggest Emily in Paris experience yet. We went to multiple locations this season, and Greece was somewhere we really wanted to showcase in a spectacular way," said Star.

He added that traveling remains integral to the overall vision of the narrative structure.

"That’s part of the fantasy of Europe: You’re always within reach of another extraordinary place, another culture, another adventure. I wanted the audience to have that vicarious experience of traveling right along with Emily," said Star.

Subplots across the final season also focus on Mindy Chen, who accepted a wedding proposal from Nicolas de Léon in Venice despite objections from her former partner Alfie.

Netflix confirmed that key cast members returning for the conclusion include Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Lucien Laviscount, Minnie Driver, and Paul Forman.
