A recent earthquake destroyed the community's pantry and food supplies at the hospital, forcing residents into months of strict rationing. To boost morale amid severe food shortages, Maggie Rhee devised a plan to capture walkers from the Empire State Building to power the community's methane system.

Maggie recruited a team including Kelsey, Reverend Anthony, Benny, Chef Mesing, Radomir, Negan, and Dillard to execute the maneuver. Despite a near-fatal zipline malfunction involving team member Solmari, the group successfully funneled the horde into trucks and restored electricity.

Following the successful operation, the community celebrated at Dillard's bar. During the event, Maggie and Negan shared a quiet conversation about their past, acknowledging their complex history while discussing the leadership of the Manhattan settlement.

The celebration turned violent after Fabian was caught stealing food from the pantry. After facing public shaming by community leader Renata, Fabian threatened Maggie's life during a confrontation with Negan.
