Kyle Bradish Starts for Orioles Against Cardinals in St. Louis

Right-hander Kyle Bradish will take the mound for the Baltimore Orioles as they continue their road series against Michael McGreevy and the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. EDT.

Baltimore enters the second contest of the interleague series holding a 64-68 overall record, including a 30-34 mark in road games. The Orioles rank 10th in the American League with a collective .398 slugging percentage.

Bradish carries a 7-12 record with a 3.70 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and 129 strikeouts into Wednesday's start. St. Louis will counter with McGreevy, who enters the matchup at 5-9 with a 3.54 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and 95 strikeouts.

The Cardinals enter Wednesday's game at 66-67 overall and 32-35 on their home field. Pitching has posted the ninth-ranked team ERA in the National League at 4.20 according to league statistics.

Offensive leaders for St. Louis include Alec Burleson, who has compiled 33 doubles, a triple, 21 home runs, and 96 RBIs this season. Jordan Walker has also contributed over the past 10 games, hitting 15-for-41 with four doubles, four home runs, and 12 RBIs.

For the Orioles, slugger Pete Alonso leads the offense with 24 doubles and 31 home runs. Outfielder Leody Taveras has added 10 hits in 35 at-bats over his last 10 appearances.

Over their last 10 contests, Baltimore has posted a 5-5 record with a 3.26 ERA while outscoring opponents by 12 runs. St. Louis has gone 4-6 during its last 10 games, logging a 6.30 ERA and being outscored by 14 runs.

Both teams continue to manage extensive injury lists ahead of the game. St. Louis has Masyn Winn and Everson Pereira on the 10-day injured list, Hunter Dobbins and Andre Pallante on the 15-day injured list, and Max Rajcic on the 60-day injured list.

Baltimore's roster remains thinned by injuries as well, with Tyler O'Neill listed as day-to-day with a shoulder issue. Blaze Alexander is on the 10-day injured list, while Ryan Mountcastle, Colin Selby, Zach Eflin, Keegan Akin, Ryan Helsley, Felix Bautista, and Jordan Westburg are all placed on the 60-day injured list.
