Connor Storrie Shaves Hair for Heated Rivalry Season 2 Filming in Toronto

Connor Storrie has cut off his iconic curly hair ahead of filming for the second season of the TV series Heated Rivalry, with the change confirmed on August 23 in Toronto according to social media reports.

The 26-year-old actor, known for playing bisexual Russian hockey star Ilya Rozanov, was spotted with a buzzcut while out with co-star Christina Chang.

Fans reacted on social media, speculating on how the new look will affect his character in the upcoming season.

Connor Storrie had previously expressed interest in shaving his head during promotional appearances for the show’s first season, stating he was ready for a drastic change.

"I’m ready to cut this stuff off if y’all want me to be completely honest," he said in December 2025. "I’m ready to shave my head. I don’t know who’s out there, but someone hire me and give me a crazy haircut."

He also teased the change in a January 2026 Vogue video, saying, "Just wait until we do something, and until we cut it all off. I want to."

The last time Storrie had shorter hair was during filming for the 2024 movie April X, which is set for a September release.

Aside from Heated Rivalry, Storrie has filmed two other movies this year, including the A24 comedy Peaked and the thriller Turpentine with Melissa McCarthy.

Meanwhile, the second season of Heated Rivalry will feature returning leads Hudson Williams as Shane Hollander, François Arnaud as Scott Hunter, and Robbie G.K. as Kip Grady, alongside seven new cast members portraying characters from Rachel Reid’s Game Changer book series.

The storyline, largely drawn from the sixth book The Long Game, follows secretive boyfriend relationship dynamics between Shane and Ilya as Ilya joins the Ottawa Centaurs team to be closer to Shane.

New characters include Troy Barrett, a closeted hockey forward played by Charlie Gillespie, and Harris Drover, the Centaurs’ social media manager played by Justice Smith. They share a storyline exploring identity and relationships within the team.

Emily Hampshire will appear as Vanessa, a feminist lesbian and confidante to other characters, while Edvin Ryding plays rookie teammate Luca Haas, a Swiss right winger with admiration for Ilya.

Robert Naylor portrays goalie Wyatt Hayes, a supportive ally, and Sabrina Jalees plays Farah Jalali, the sports agent backing Shane and Ilya amid public scrutiny.

Priyanka appears as Tarek, a friend and roommate of Vanessa, adding to the diverse cast expanding the series’ narrative.
