Roku Channel Debuts NFL Hometown Eats Featuring Celebrity Fans
The Roku Channel launched a new three-episode limited sports and culinary series titled "NFL Hometown Eats" on August 24, 2026, highlighting local culinary traditions alongside prominent celebrity fans and pro football stars. The series pairs celebrity supporters with NFL athletes across major football hubs, including Dallas-Fort Worth, Seattle, and Los Angeles. Executive producer and actress Eva Longoria leads the lineup alongside Pro Football Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware. During their episode in North Texas, Longoria and Ware sample 3,500-calorie sandwiches at Coppell Deli, eat brisket birria tacos and smoked quail at Hurtado Barbecue, and visit the birthplace of the frozen margarita.
The show also features actress Rebel Wilson paired with Super Bowl champion Devon Witherspoon, while actor Joel McHale teams up with Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams to sample regional foods.
Production details confirm the series emphasizes the local dining culture that surrounds professional football franchises, exploring neighborhood eateries near stadium districts. "In every football city stands a stadium, and a neighborhood full of fans who live and breathe football," said Eva Longoria, Executive Producer and Host.
The three-episode series focuses on community connection through local dining while exploring game-day food cultures in each host market. "But it's the food, the hometown eats, that make game day worth showing up for," said Longoria.
All three episodes of "NFL Hometown Eats" are currently available for free streaming on the Roku Channel.
