Former Florida point guard Xaivian Lee committed to the Gonzaga Bulldogs on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, following a stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Summer League, according to reports from On3.

The 6-foot-3 guard entered the transfer portal after going undrafted in the 2026 NBA Draft. He received temporary legal protection through an ongoing lawsuit, allowing him to join Mark Few's program for the upcoming season.

During his summer stretch with Cleveland, Lee appeared in five games on an Exhibit 10 contract. He averaged 6.4 points, 2.4 assists, and 2.0 rebounds in 16 minutes per contest while shooting 40% from the field and 21.4% from three-point range.

Prior to his pro stint, Lee led Florida with 147 total assists and posted a 2.4 assist-to-turnover ratio during the 2025-26 season. He averaged 11.6 points, 4.2 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game as the Gators won the SEC regular-season title.

Before transferring to Florida, Lee spent three seasons at Princeton. He earned back-to-back First Team All-Ivy League honors and recorded the first triple-double in Princeton program history while averaging 16.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.5 assists as a junior.

Lee's decision addresses major backcourt uncertainty in Spokane. Dayton transfer Javon Bennett became ineligible when an appeals court stayed his restraining order against the NCAA, while French signee Nathan De Sousa remains uncleared while awaiting a waiver and travel visa.

The Bulldogs are aiming to utilize Lee alongside a core featuring Davis Fogle, Chauncey Wiggins, Braden Huff, and Massamba Diop as they prepare for their season opener on November 2.
