US Open Mixed Doubles Field Features Sabalenka Djokovic and Alcaraz

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and 24-time men's Grand Slam singles champion Novak Djokovic lead an all-star lineup for the reimagined US Open Mixed Doubles Championship running from August 24 to 26 at Flushing Meadows.

The three-day exhibition event precedes the main US Open tournament competitions, which are scheduled to run from August 30 through September 13.

Former champion Serena Williams received a wild card entry to partner with Carlos Alcaraz, who returns to competitive action after being sidelined with an ongoing wrist injury since April. Williams returned to competition at Wimbledon in June following a four-year hiatus, though she suffered a knee injury prior to a first-round loss alongside her sister Venus at the Cincinnati Open.

Tournament organizers also granted wild card entries to the pairs of Alex Eala with Felix Auger-Aliassime, married couple Elina Svitolina with Gael Monfils, and two-time defending champions Sara Errani with Andrea Vavassori.

Following qualifying matches, four pairings advanced to the main draw, including Katerina Siniakova and Henry Patten, Peyton Stearns and Christian Harrison, Kristina Mladenovic and Marcelo Arevalo, and Erin Routliffe and Lloyd Glasspool.

First-round matches on Tuesday, August 25, feature Djokovic and Sabalenka facing Siniakova and Patten at Arthur Ashe Stadium, alongside matchups including Alcaraz and Williams against Routliffe and Glasspool, and Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli taking on Taylor Townsend and Alexander Zverev.

Additional opening-round fixtures at Louis Armstrong Stadium include Svitolina and Monfils against Eala and Auger-Aliassime, Karolina Muchova and Jakub Mensik facing Mladenovic and Arevalo, Emma Navarro and Tommy Paul playing Amanda Anisimova and Learner Tien, Mirra Andreeva and Andrey Rublev taking on Errani and Vavassori, and Diana Shnaider and Casper Ruud matching up against Jessica Pegula and Taylor Fritz.

The tournament utilizes a short-set format through the semi-finals on August 26, featuring best-of-three sets to four games with no-ad scoring, tie-breaks at 4-4, and a 10-point tie-break in place of a third set, while the final will feature standard sets to six games.
