Connecticut Sun Retires Tina Charles Number 31 Tuesday Aug 25

The Connecticut Sun will retire Tina Charles No. 31 at Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday, Aug. 25, honoring the WNBA all-time rebounding leader in a game against the Chicago Sky at 7 p.m. ET, according to sports.yahoo.com and collinsvillepress.com.

Charles, selected No. 1 by Connecticut in the 2010 WNBA Draft, played four seasons for the team from 2010 to 2013 before returning to finish her career in the 2025 season, according to sports.yahoo.com and collinsvillepress.com.

During her career, Charles earned eight WNBA All-Star selections, nine All-WNBA honors, was named WNBA MVP in 2012, and was selected to the WNBA 25th Anniversary Team as reported by sports.yahoo.com.
