Sean Murphy Develops Catwoman One-Shot Amid Braves’ Struggles
Sean Murphy, known for his work on The White Knight saga, is preparing a 48-page Catwoman one-shot for DC Black Label, set for release next year, as revealed during a League of Comic Geeks AMA in August.
This project marks Murphy's continued engagement with Gotham City characters, expanding the morally complex White Knight universe to include Selina Kyle, who has not yet appeared in the series.
Murphy said, "Catwoman: White Knight is a 48 page one-shot I'll be working on next year. But it's not announced yet. :)"
Meanwhile, in sports, Atlanta Braves catcher Sean Murphy will start his third consecutive game against the Los Angeles Dodgers despite struggling offensively since returning from the injured list on August 3.
According to cbssports.com, Murphy has posted a .167/.194/.200 slash line in 31 plate appearances, but his defensive skills continue to justify his place in the lineup.
The Braves have faced offensive challenges this August, ranking among the lowest in runs scored and weighted runs created plus (wRC+), prompting lineup adjustments by manager Walt Weiss.
Batting order changes include Mauricio Dubón hitting cleanup, while Austin Riley and Mike Yastrzemski, who have above-average wRC+ scores this month, remain lower in the lineup.
Facing pitcher Roki Sasaki, the Braves hope to improve their offensive output, as several key players have limited or no success against him.
Murphy's role as catcher amidst these struggles highlights the team's reliance on his defensive contributions as they aim to contend in a difficult division race.
