Seattle Seahawks Place Wide Receiver Jake Bobo on Injured Reserve

The Seattle Seahawks officially placed wide receiver Jake Bobo on season-ending injured reserve on Wednesday after the 28-year-old suffered a torn ACL during a joint practice with the Tennessee Titans.

Behind-the-scenes footage from HBO's broadcast captured the incident, showing quarterback Sam Darnold recognizing the severity of the leg injury on the sideline immediately after it occurred.

"Uh, ACL, his leg was like dangling," said Darnold.

Head coach Mike Macdonald sought clarification from an assistant on the sideline after observing the play unfold, confirming the diagnosis moments later as detailed in the footage broadcast.

"Oh f***," said Macdonald.

The injury halts a notable tenure for the undrafted UCLA product, who had secured a key spot on Seattle's offense and special teams units over recent seasons. His placement on injured reserve follows a 17-7 preseason loss to the Dallas Cowboys, where the Seahawks offense managed just seven points.

Addressing the media following the practice session, Macdonald praised Bobo's performance on the field and stated that the franchise intends to support the wide receiver throughout his extended recovery process. To fill the vacancy, wide receivers Montorie Foster Jr. and Cody White are slated to compete for increased snaps ahead of the regular season roster cutdowns.
