Robinhood Launches US Open Tennis Event Prediction Markets
Robinhood Derivatives has introduced event prediction markets for the 2026 US Open Tennis Men's Singles tournament on August 25, 2026, enabling users to trade outcome contracts on specific set winners.
The financial platform listed contracts for first-round qualification matches, including the matchup between Pedro Martinez and Daniil Glinka scheduled for August 25, 2026, following contracts offered for the August 24 pairing of Marco Cecchinato and Liam Broady.
Trading operates 24 hours a day, excluding a weekly maintenance window on Thursdays from 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM Eastern Time. Winning contracts settle at $1 per unit, paying out typically within one hour of official match resolution, while traders retain the option to close positions early.
Under the market structure offered through clearing exchanges like KalshiEX LLC, ForecastEX, LLC, and Rothera Exchange, contracts settle unconditionally if play finishes normally. In instances of player retirement, pre-match forfeitures, or cancellations, unresolvable markets settle at a designated fair market price determined by the exchange.
Strict trading prohibitions apply to athletes, coaches, league staff, team owners, and their immediate family members. Additionally, employees of source data agencies and individuals possessing material non-public information are barred from trading US Open contracts.
