Rob Gronkowski Unveils Outdoor Kitchen and Details Swift-Kelce Wedding
Former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski and his partner, Camille Kostek, recently completed a custom outdoor kitchen renovation at their Foxboro, Massachusetts estate while also sharing insights from attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding last month in New York City. The couple upgraded their backyard entertaining space by partnering with RTA Outdoor Living to install two 12-foot islands featuring a pizza oven, built-in refrigeration, an ice chest, and dedicated storage near their existing pool and bonfire area. Kostek selected white plank-style cabinetry paired with Thunder White granite and stainless steel to mirror the home's newly renovated interior design, replacing a makeshift setup of standing grills and ice coolers.
"We just redid the interior of our house, and I felt like the backyard was the next project. This is the beginning of the transformation of our backyard, and now I’m more excited to host," Kostek said in a statement shared with Realtor.com®.
The upgraded layout was primarily designed to comfortably accommodate larger family gatherings, specifically for Gronkowski's extended family during summer visits. "We had a lot of ice coolers outside and a standing grill, but we never had a place for everything," she added.
Kostek noted that previous events required temporary furniture setups to serve food and desserts to guests. "Rob has about nine nieces and nephews, and when they all come over in the summer, now we have a s’mores station instead of setting everything up on chairs and on the ground," she explained.
Gronkowski emphasized the need for a durable system that could handle harsh regional weather patterns and assemble quickly without complex construction processes. "I’m that guy when it becomes difficult, I’m like, ‘All right, I’m good with this, I want something that’s easy to set up and easy to build, and that’s literally what RTA Outdoor Living is," he said. The installation was completed in a few hours, providing an immediate hosting space for the couple.
"It was super easy overall. They came here and literally built this outdoor kitchen in just a few hours. Now it’s ready to go, and we’re just super excited," he added.
The weather-resistant materials were chosen specifically to withstand local winter environments without requiring annual replacements. "Being up here in New England, you’ve got all types of weather. You’ve got snow, rain and sleet.
It can withstand it all," he explained. The structural materials were designed to maintain stability against heavy winter conditions.
"It’s very sturdy, very durable, and you don’t have to worry about replacing products every single year," he added.
Kostek used 3D rendering technology to design and visualize the backyard layout before installation began. "I’m such a visual person, and I loved that I could see what it looked like before it was set up. I’m not someone who loves surprises, so it was really awesome to see it in 3D," she shared.
The kitchen is positioned to create a smooth transition from the interior living space to the outdoors. "I also love that it’s right off where our bonfire is," she said.
The former model emphasized that this addition represents the start of further property improvements. "This is the beginning of the transformation of our backyard," she said. The Foxboro property spans roughly 4,500 square feet with five bedrooms, sitting adjacent to a secondary 3,300-square-foot home Gronkowski acquired to create a combined residence.
Beyond home renovations, Gronkowski shared details with PEOPLE regarding the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden, where guests played arcade-style games to earn raffle tickets for designer bags and a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle.
"I was trying to win something for my girl, Camille," the former NFL tight end, 37, told the outlet. Gronkowski explained that the interactive setup required attendees to win games to participate in the drawings. "I participated because, what was really cool was that you had to play the games in order to get the raffle tickets, so that was really, really cool," Gronkowski added.
He praised the event structure for making guests earn their entries through participation.
"That’s why I appreciate it. It wasn’t no hand-me-outs, you had to earn the raffle tickets, and that’s what made it so much fun," Gronkowski added. He spent the remainder of the evening socializing with guests across entertainment and sports industries.
"It was so cool to see it live, to be able to have a good time on the dance floor and to mingle with so many people in my industry, but also so many people in other industries," Gronkowski said. He admitted to feeling intimidated by some of the high-profile attendees in attendance.
"I mean, when you meet someone that’s been your hero, that you’ve been watching, but you’ve just gotta play it cool, though," he said. Kostek separately highlighted her experience meeting notable figures during the NYC nuptials. "I absolutely was starstruck.
Even thinking about her, I lose my train of thought. She’s amazing," she said.
Celebrity attendees at the event included Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Hanks, Selena Gomez, and Steven Spielberg.
