Developer Pearl Abyss unveiled Crimson Desert Enhanced at Gamescom Opening Night Live in Cologne, Germany, on August 25, 2026, releasing a massive free version 2.0 update for existing owners alongside the game's first discount across all platforms.

The title is available at a 20 percent discount through September 9 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Apple Mac, and the Epic Games Store. On Steam, the price has dropped from $70 to $56.

Version 2.00.00, tagged as update 1.000.484 on consoles, introduces new cutscenes and dialogue throughout the main questline to deepen narrative immersion.
