McDonald's announced its fall seasonal beverage lineup on Tuesday, August 18, officially replacing its traditional Pumpkin Spice Latte with a new Caramel Apple Pie flavor across participating locations nationwide.

The fast-food chain's fresh seasonal offering introduces a new caramel apple pie syrup that can be integrated into iced coffees, hot coffees, lattes, and frappés. All variations are topped with whipped cream, salted caramel sauce, and apple pie crumbles.

A spokesperson for McDonald's explained the decision to revamp the autumn menu offerings to Delish.

"Caramel Apple Pie is the only fall coffee flavor McDonald’s is releasing this year," a spokesperson for McDonald’s confirms to Delish. "While Pumpkin Spice will not be part of this year’s lineup, we’re always exploring new ways to give fans seasonal flavors to enjoy. We chose Caramel Apple Pie because it offers a fresh take on the familiar tastes of fall—and one we think fans will fall in love with."

The shift to an apple-flavored beverage aligns with McDonald's long-standing menu history. The chain has served its signature baked apple pie dessert since the late 1960s, debuting around the same period as the Big Mac.
