San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges in Ohio on Monday, August 24, 2026, following his arrest by East Palestine police on suspicion of engaging in prostitution.

Court records from Columbiana, Ohio, show that law enforcement initially arrested York on Sunday on a charge of engaging in prostitution. Prosecutors later amended the charge to misdemeanor disorderly conduct during court proceedings on Monday morning.

The plea agreement filed by the local prosecutor resolved the initial charge alongside an additional misdemeanor charge for possessing criminal tools. York subsequently paid $1,150 in fines, comprising $150 for the disorderly conduct charge and $1,000 for the criminal tools charge.

The court sentenced York to one day in jail for each misdemeanor count, with the judge crediting him for one day already served. The official court records formally documented the resolution of the cases on Monday, as reported by ABC7.

York has served as the majority owner of the San Francisco 49ers since 2024 and has held the chief executive officer position since 2008. The NFL team owner originally hails from Youngstown, Ohio.
