Iranian state television broadcast a video targeting Barron Trump, son of former US President Donald Trump, showing his university location, escort vehicles, and Secret Service details, and claiming a $10 million bounty on him.

The footage aired on Iran's Channel 3, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), claimed that Barron's movements were "fully monitored." It also alleged a breach in his security where "a girl" reportedly met with Barron in private and passed information to the program makers.

The broadcast included graphics mapping Barron's social connections and online activities, asserting he communicated privately via Xbox away from his security detail. These claims could not be independently verified.

Similar videos have previously targeted other Trump family members; in July, Iranian media aired a segment detailing Melania Trump's movements in New York, and reports earlier in the year discussed threats against Ivanka Trump.

Iran's state media also broadcast direct threats against Donald Trump himself. In July, a billboard in Tehran depicted Trump apparently dead in a coffin, with text stating "We will kill Trump." A video showing the route of Trump's motorcade between airports and residences was also released, prompting a US Secret Service review.

The broadcasts come amid longstanding tensions following the US drone strike that killed IRGC's Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani in 2020, an operation authorized by Trump. Iran has repeatedly vowed retaliation since then, with some officials framing threats against Trump as "qisas"—Islamic retributive justice for the killing of their leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in US-Israeli strikes in February 2026.

Mohammad-Javad Larijani, a commentator on Iranian state television, said, "Qisas is the Islamic Republic's inalienable right."

He added, "We will do whatever is in our power, and there is no international legal barrier to stop us."

Mohsen Ghanbarian, another commentator, emphasized the necessity of retribution, stating, "If we do not carry out qisas on Trump, if we do not punish our leader's killer, the current leader and the leaders of the Islamic Republic will always have to live in hiding."

Donald Trump warned that any attempt on his life would provoke a strong US response. On January 20, he declared, "The whole country of Iran will blow up," and that orders were in place to "wipe the Islamic Republic off the face of the Earth" if threats were realized.
