Goldfish Swim School Opens Near Brighton Offering Year-Round Lessons

Goldfish Swim School officially opened on August 25 at Green Oak Village Place near Brighton, offering year-round swimming lessons for children aged four months to 12 years, according to livingstondaily.com.

The school provides a range of lessons from early water introduction to advanced skill refinement. It also offers family swim sessions and will allow facility rentals starting in October.

The indoor pool is heated to 90 degrees year-round, and amenities include a Snack Shack and a swim gear shop for parents, livingstondaily.com reported.

Goldfish Swim School aims to teach essential water safety skills while building children's confidence through guided play in a safe environment, according to the business' website.

Founded by Chris and Jenny McCuiston in Birmingham in March 2006, the franchise has over 200 locations across the United States and Canada, including nearby Ann Arbor, Farmington Hills, and Canton.

The new Brighton location plans a ribbon-cutting and open house event from 4 to 6 p.m. on September 21 and a free grand opening party from 1 to 3 p.m. on September 26, featuring swimming, complimentary treats, face painting, and balloon art.

Operating hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4 to 7:30 p.m., Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 4 to 7:30 p.m., Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The pool is also open for swim from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Fridays.
