Francisco Lindor Hits Game-Tying Home Run Against Brewers

New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie the game at 1-1 against the Milwaukee Brewers on August 25, 2026.

Lindor launched an 0-2 pitch from Milwaukee left-hander Kyle Harrison to deep left-center field with one out and nobody on base. The home run was Lindor's 13th of the season and his fifth hit from the right side of the plate.

Harrison had set up inside on the pitch, but left the ball over the middle of the plate. The fifth-inning blast came during Harrison's third time facing the top of the Mets' lineup. Left-hander Zac Thornton started the game for New York, coming into the matchup with a 3-4 record and a 3.04 ERA across nine starts this season.

The Mets entered the contest looking to bounce back after dropping two of three games against the Chicago White Sox over the weekend, missing a potential series sweep due to walk-off home runs on Friday and Sunday.
