Eva Longoria and DeMarcus Ware Explore Texas Eats Near Cowboys Stadium

On August 24, 2026, actress and executive producer Eva Longoria teamed up with former Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware to explore notable restaurants near AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, as part of the new Roku series NFL Hometown Eats. The 23-minute episode showcases the duo visiting Dallas Cowboys' headquarters in Frisco, where they met owner Jerry Jones and sampled dishes from Coppell Deli, a longtime favorite among Cowboys players. Longoria and Ware then traveled to Arlington to experience local flavors at Hurtado Barbecue and Mariano's Hacienda, both near the stadium. Hurtado Barbecue is known for smoked and fried quail, while Mariano's Hacienda is famous for inventing the frozen margarita machine in 1971.

Longoria expressed her enthusiasm about the food throughout the visit.

"I love food," Longoria said after tasting the barbecue. She described Hurtado Barbecue’s brisket birria tacos as "the best birria I've had in my life" and added, "It's so good, I'm gonna cry."

Mariano Martinez, owner of Mariano's Hacienda, shared insights on the frozen margarita’s history and its appeal to Cowboys players. "When I invented the frozen margaritas, everyone thought they were going to be a girls’ drink. They said, ‘Men aren’t going to drink frozen drinks.’ It was the Dallas Cowboys that made it a man’s drink," Martinez said on the show.

Martinez also recounted the challenges he faced securing financing for his Tex-Mex restaurant, being rejected by eleven banks before the twelfth approved his loan. He served Longoria the signature margarita named after him, which took two years to perfect. After sampling a variety of sandwiches, barbecue, and Tex-Mex dishes, Longoria described the day as "the best day I’ve ever had in Dallas."
