The Atlanta Dream visit the Los Angeles Sparks at Crypto.com Arena on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, seeking their fourth consecutive victory as they push for a top-two seed in the WNBA standings.

Atlanta enters the matchup with a 24-13 record, holding the No. 4 overall seed and trailing the Golden State Valkyries by 1.5 games. Los Angeles stands at 13-24 overall and has been eliminated from postseason contention.

The Dream rely heavily on forward Angel Reese, who scored 31 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a 99-89 victory over the Phoenix Mercury. Guard Rhyne Howard added 20 points, three rebounds, and five assists in that win. For the season, Reese averages 16 points and 12 rebounds per game.

Injury reports reveal key absences for both rosters ahead of Monday's tipoff. The Dream ruled out Brionna Jones due to a left leg injury, marking her fifth consecutive missed game without a timetable for return. Meanwhile, the Sparks ruled out guard Rae Burrell due to an illness after she scored 20 points in a 77-68 win against the Connecticut Sun.

Los Angeles missed the postseason following midseason roster changes, including trading All-Star guard Kelsey Plum. Forward Nneka Ogwumike leads the Sparks, averaging 16 points and eight rebounds per game while recording 11 points and 11 rebounds against Connecticut.

Atlanta dominated the previous meeting between the clubs on Aug. 20, scoring 124 points in a 36-point victory over Los Angeles. The game broadcasts live at 10 p.m. Eastern Time on Peacock.
