Adelaide United Rekrut Winger Jacob Brazete Selama Tiga Musim

Adelaide United resmi mendatangkan penyerang sayap muda Jacob Brazete dengan kontrak berdurasi tiga tahun dan opsi perpanjangan satu musim menjelang bergulirnya Isuzu UTE A-League 2026/27. Pengumuman perekrutan pemain berusia 20 tahun tersebut disampaikan manajemen klub pada Senin (20/7/2026). Brazete bergabung dengan The Reds setelah menghabiskan dua musim terakhir bersama Brisbane Roar dan mencatatkan 25 penampilan.

Pemain berkaki dominan kanan yang mampu beroperasi di kedua sisi sayap ini sempat mencetak gol jarak jauh ke gawang Adelaide United di Coopers Stadium pada musim 2024/25. Sebelum kesepakatan resmi diumumkan, pemain yang akan mengenakan nomor punggung 21 ini telah mengikuti sesi latihan pra-musim bersama Adelaide United. Kedatangan Brazete menjadi bagian dari agenda pembenahan lini serang tim.

Pemain muda tersebut mengungkapkan alasannya memilih bergabung dengan Adelaide United dalam perburuan gelar musim ini.

"Adelaide play a really beautiful, free-flowing and progressive attacking style of football, and as an attacking player, that’s all you could really wish for, so I am so excited to be here," ujar Jacob Brazete, Winger Adelaide United. Ia juga mengenang momen berharga yang pernah dilaluinya di markas klub barunya tersebut saat masih berseragam lawan.

"Since scoring my first A-League goal here, Coopers has always had a profound place in my heart," kata Jacob Brazete, Winger Adelaide United. Brazete menambahkan optimismenya untuk memberikan dampak besar bagi publik tuan rumah selama masa bakti barunya.

"It’s going to be really cool to walk out there in the red shirt and hopefully recreate those moments, but ones the whole stadium can enjoy," ujar Jacob Brazete, Winger Adelaide United. Ia menegaskan komitmennya untuk membantu klub meraih trofi kompetisi. "I know I can do big things for the Club and be an integral part of the squad. I want to win trophies, take the fans out of their seats and work hard to see what we can achieve," kata Jacob Brazete, Winger Adelaide United.

Direktur Sepak Bola Adelaide United Mitch van Gellekom memberikan pandangannya terkait filosofi perekrutan klub terhadap sang pemain.

"At Adelaide United, we don’t just recruit players for what they are today. We recruit them for what they can become. We see every signing as the beginning of a development journey, and Jacob is a player we believe has significant upside," kata Mitch van Gellekom, Direktur Sepak Bola Adelaide United.

Ia menekankan pentingnya mentalitas sang pemain dalam proses perkembangan di lingkungan tim. "He already has valuable A-League experience, but more importantly he has the mentality to keep improving," ujar Mitch van Gellekom, Direktur Sepak Bola Adelaide United.

Van Gellekom memastikan klub siap memfasilitasi potensi maksimal yang dimiliki sang winger anyar.

"Our role is to create an environment that challenges him every day, supports his growth and allows him to maximise his potential. If he commits to that process, we’re confident he can make a real impact for Adelaide United and take another important step in his career," kata Mitch van Gellekom, Direktur Sepak Bola Adelaide United. Sebelum pengumuman transfer ini, Adelaide United telah memulai rangkaian pra-musim pada Selasa (14/7/2026) malam di Southern Soccer Facility. Skuad asuhan Airton Andrioli meraih kemenangan 5-0 atas Cove FC melalui gol Pana Kikianis, Ryan Kitto, Luke Duzel, Juan Muñiz, dan Luka Blažević.

Pelatih Airton Andrioli menyambut positif kembalinya para pemain ke lapangan pertandingan setelah latihan intensif. "It’s good to be back," ujar Airton Andrioli, Pelatih Adelaide United.

Ia menyoroti pentingnya laga uji coba tersebut bagi keterlibatan para pendukung lokal. "We had our first week back on the training track last week and the boys have been training really well," kata Airton Andrioli, Pelatih Adelaide United. Andrioli juga menambahkan kepuasannya terhadap atmosfer pertandingan di markas lawan.

"But at this time of the year you’re looking for matches, so it’s great to come back down to Cove again. We’ve been doing this for the last few years and it was fantastic to see so many people here tonight," ujar Airton Andrioli, Pelatih Adelaide United.

Ia menekankan komitmen klub untuk terus menjaga kedekatan dengan komunitas sepak bola lokal South Australia. "It was great to engage with the community and continue building throughout this pre-season," kata Airton Andrioli, Pelatih Adelaide United. Klub berjuluk The Reds tersebut memposisikan diri sebagai tim yang terbuka bagi masyarakat.

"We’re a people’s club and we want to stay close to our local clubs and the football community across Adelaide," ujar Airton Andrioli, Pelatih Adelaide United.

Pendekatan komunikasi dengan fans dianggap sebagai aspek krusial dalam program pra-musim. "It’s very important that we continue doing nights like this," kata Airton Andrioli, Pelatih Adelaide United.

Adelaide United dihadapkan pada jadwal padat termasuk laga Australia Cup melawan South Melbourne serta play-off AFC Champions League Elite melawan wakil Vietnam, Công an Hà Nội FC, pada 11 Agustus 2026. "It’s about getting the feeling for a match again," ujar Airton Andrioli, Pelatih Adelaide United.

Pertandingan komunitas menjadi sarana adaptasi kondisi fisik pemain usai laga internal minggu sebelumnya. "We had an internal game last week, but playing against different opposition is always different," kata Airton Andrioli, Pelatih Adelaide United. Fokus utama staf pelatih saat ini terletak pada pemulihan kebugaran bertanding para pemain.

"We’re continuing our preparation for the first Australia Cup game, which is coming up quickly, so it’s about getting the legs moving again, getting the body used to match conditions and continuing to build," ujar Airton Andrioli, Pelatih Adelaide United.

Persiapan dilakukan secara bertahap menuju kompetisi resmi. "It’s day by day and week by week," kata Airton Andrioli, Pelatih Adelaide United. Andrioli mengapresiasi kondisi fisik para pemain yang tetap terjaga saat kembali berkumpul.

"The players came back in excellent condition and they’re excited," ujar Airton Andrioli, Pelatih Adelaide United.

Laga uji coba berikutnya dijadwalkan berlangsung pekan depan melawan Playford sebelum tim mengalihkan fokus penuh ke laga kompetitif. "We’ll continue building our fitness and use these matches to consolidate the way we want to play before the season begins," kata Airton Andrioli, Pelatih Adelaide United.
