Sonia Citron of the Mystics was highlighted as a key player with strong three-point shooting potential, having hit 5 of 6 three-pointers against Phoenix earlier this season. The Mercury rank last in the league for opponent three-pointers made per game and near the bottom for opponent three-point percentage.

"Second-year wing Sonia Citron has not shot the ball as well as she did as a rookie, knocking down just 31.6 percent of her attempts from 3," a Sports Illustrated analysis explained. "However, she was 5-for-6 from deep against the Mercury in the only meeting between these teams this season."

Kiki Iriafen of the Mystics also showed strong rebounding ability in recent games, expected to capitalize on Phoenix’s loss of size in the frontcourt.
