Stefanos Tsitsipas Faces Jenson Brooksby at Winston-Salem Open

Seventh seed Stefanos Tsitsipas will clash with American Jenson Brooksby in the second round of the Winston-Salem Open on Monday, marking their second career meeting on the ATP Tour.

The match comes four years after their initial encounter at the 2022 Indian Wells Masters, where Brooksby defeated the Greek player in three sets, 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.

World No. 49 Tsitsipas enters the tournament following a summer hard-court swing that included reaching the third round in Montreal after claiming a clay-court title in Gstaad. Meanwhile, the 74th-ranked Brooksby advanced to the second round on Sunday after securing a straight-sets victory of 6-3, 6-2 against France's Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.

Brooksby holds a 12-18 record on the main tour this season after missing the 2023 and 2024 seasons due to a suspension. The winner of the matchup will move forward in the final ATP 250 warm-up tournament ahead of the US Open.

In other main-draw action on Monday, collegiate standout Sebastian Gorzny will compete against Cruz Hewitt in the first round. Gorzny, a 22-year-old former TCU and Texas player, entered the main draw after competing in the qualifying rounds on Sunday.
