Sylvester Stallone Honors Dolly Parton as Paramount Prepares Tulsa King

Actor Sylvester Stallone honored his former co-star Dolly Parton in a social media tribute following her death, while executive leadership at Paramount+ confirmed that production continues on the fourth season of his crime drama Tulsa King.

Reflecting on their partnership during the filming of the 1984 musical comedy Rhinestone, Stallone shared a video memory recounting an off-camera incident involving large-bred Tennessee horses. Parton had also recently recalled the production fondly on her own social media account.

"It's hard to imagine a world without Dolly Parton. An American icon and a brilliant woman, beloved by so many. I have many fond memories of our time on the set of Rhinestone," said actor Sylvester Stallone.

The feature film Rhinestone grossed under $22 million against a $28 million production budget upon its release, drawing sharp critical reaction regarding Stallone's musical performance. Parton subsequently addressed the commercial performance in her autobiography.

"I guess the public didn't want to see Sylvester Stallone do comedy – or see me do Sylvester Stallone," wrote singer Dolly Parton.

Concurrently, network executives confirmed that the crime series Tulsa King will return for a fourth installment following its third-season conclusion in November 2025. Paramount+ officially renewed the Taylor Sheridan series last September, though a specific premiere date remains unannounced.

"We're about to announce the premiere date for 'Tulsa King' Season 4; that one is coming out," said Jane Wiseman, Head of Originals at Paramount+.

Wiseman noted that the upcoming episodes will feature Stallone continuing his role as Dwight Manfredi.

"It's an incredible season. (Stallone) is in great form in the show, and there's going to be some surprises. But that show is continuing," said Jane Wiseman, Head of Originals at Paramount+.

A media update released on the service's news blog indicated the storyline will maintain its focus on organized crime themes and family dynamics within Oklahoma, with all previous seasons currently available for streaming.
