The Boston Red Sox secured a 7-3 extra-inning victory against the Miami Marlins at LoanDepot Park, propelled by a go-ahead grand slam from Jarren Duran and a two-homer performance by Mickey Gasper.

Boston initially built a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Gasper hit a solo home run to right-center field off Miami starter Peyton Tully. The Marlins answered in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly from catcher Brian Navarretto to tie the score.

Gasper reclaimed the lead for Boston in the top of the fifth with his second solo home run of the game, bringing his season total to five. However, Miami matched the score at 2-2 when Heriberto Hernandez hit a solo home run off Tully in the bottom of the frame.

The game remained deadlocked until the 10th inning, when Boston took a 3-2 lead on a passed ball after a pitch missed Navarretto and struck home plate umpire Rackley. The Marlins answered in the bottom of the 10th inning following a wild pitch by Red Sox reliever Olds, tying the game at 3-3.

In the top of the 11th inning, Boston loaded the bases with one out before Duran delivered a grand slam to break the tie and seal the 7-3 victory for the Red Sox.
