American Airlines adds new complimentary Main Cabin snacks
American Airlines said it will refresh complimentary Main Cabin snacks, adding Goldfish and new sweet-and-savory options to select flights. The airline will roll out the updated lineup beginning in October, with details guided by customer feedback and trial testing.
Morning flights will continue offering Biscoff cookies, with Lavazza coffee paired for that start to the day, American Airlines said. Goldfish will also be added for morning service, expanding choice beyond the existing cookie offering.
Later in the day, Goldfish will remain available, and American Airlines will also offer Tate’s Bake Shop chocolate chip cookies and Peterson’s savory and sweet snack mix on select flights.
American Airlines said passengers can expect to see the new snack options on select departures starting in October and that the snacks will rotate over time as the airline responds to customer preferences.
“Small details can make a meaningful difference in the travel experience, especially the familiar touches customers look forward to throughout their journey,” said American’s Chief Customer Officer Heather Garboden.
“As we looked at our snack offerings, we wanted to take the time to get this refresh right by listening to customer feedback and understanding what customers value most,” Garboden said.
“This updated lineup brings together beloved favorites and new choices in a way that feels familiar, elevated and enjoyable,” Garboden said.
The airline framed the move as part of a broader effort to elevate the in-flight experience, citing recently announced premium dining enhancements including centennial-inspired inflight menus and new California wines on board.
Dallasnews also reported the airline will add three snack options to select flights from its Fort Worth central hub at DFW International Airport, and that the rollout is expected to begin in October. The outlet also noted American’s net income in the second quarter of 2026 was $71 million, while United and Delta reported $805 million and $1.6 billion respectively.
